Kairos
On Thursday the 12th of October I went off to do Kairos. I had to do it with form B as I was at work experience during the week my form was doing it. I was told the night before what character I going to be and what I had to bring. The bus was leaving ta 8:45, and I was there with time to spare. On the bus some of the people were explaining what we were going to be doing and what it was based on. It was called "Celebrity challenges", the celebrities were Donald Trump and his two bodyguards, Logan Paul, Morty, Kylie Jenner and Eminem which I was, and this meant that I had to do the cinnamon challenge. Being Eminem meant that I had to dress in all grey and try and act cocky and very arrogant. When we got there we had look at the room we were going to be filming in and it was bigger than I imagined, we were told the rules and eventually we were able to arranged everything and started rehursing our lines while the man was showing the others who were not acting how to work the lights and sound systems. I was first few takes were pretty much shocking, but as the day progressed we became better and more confident. I had a few interviews and did some of the challenges, like the cinnamon challenge which was by far the worst, I had to eat a jelly snake which was delicious and had to hold a plank for as long as I could. After lunch we had two practise takes and then the proper one. We were successful in our final take and we were all tired after the long day. Kairos was a great day which gave me great insight into what its like to work on the news and the preparation that goes on.
