Carlingford
On Monday the 19th of February all of transition year left the school for Carlingford at around 9am. The bus ride was an hour and a half. We arrived and were told who we would be rooming with. I was with Ryan, Jorge and Conor. Luckily I got a top bunk which meant that I was close to the windows because I was told the rooms get very hot snd stuffy. The year was split into two groups, A and B, I was in group B.
The activities planned for group B on the first day was Laser Tag in the woods and our night activity was a Murder Mystery around the town. It was a shame because during the murder mystery it rained for the entire activity. After that was over I went straight to bed as I was feeling very sick. Every morning we had to wake up at 8 and have breakfast. I would wake up at 7:45 so that I could have a shower. Tuesday’s activities were the Sky Park which was an obstacle course in the air, the next activity was canoeing in the sea, it was so cold, but still fun, we canoed from one side of the harbour to the other. Our night activity was called Carlingford Activities, it was super fun except it clashed the with Chelsea vs Barca match, I was still able to watch the second half which was fine. Wednesday was teamwork day which consisted of different activities in the morning and after lunch we did High Ropes which was super fun. Wednesday night was my favourite night activity, we did a night line walk in the wood. We were all blindfolded and we had to hold a rope in one hand and our other hand was on the shoulder of the person in-front of us. We walked on tyres and crawled under stuff. Thursday came so fast, our last day, the first activity was Zip It which was a bunch of zip lines going over the quarry and through the woods. The final activity of the trip was a mixture of archery, Frisbee golf and aero ball. Unfortunately we had to leave at 6:30 that night. This was an amazing trip, it was great because everyone got a long really well. My favourite activity without a doubt was the Laser Tag.
